ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING & DESIGN
OVERVIEW
Southern Blossoms’ sister company, Horticultural Service Consultants, provides environmental planning consulting and design services for all phases of a project’s development, including guidelines for long-term sustainability of landscapes and restoration projects. We adhere to the guidelines and recommendations of the U.S. Green Building Council for resource management and conservation in all of our projects.
NEW INSTALLATIONS
From site assessment to plant selection and installation, all aspects of the environment are considered including the location, parking, walkways, existing trees, canopy, grading, water management and irrigation systems.
REHABILITATION & MITIGATION
Rehabilitation is defined as “the process of returning a property to a state of utility, through repair or alteration, which makes usage possible while preserving those portions and features of the property which are significant.” Southern Blossoms can rehabilitate properties that require attention for reasons ranging from hurricane damage to prolonged neglect. We work with the original design concept, incorporating current sustainable plants and materials with the ultimate goal being the conservation of water.
REFURBISHMENT
Similar to rehabilitation, however, refurbishment focuses on restoring the landscape to its previous state, while at the same time using sustainable plants, products and water conservation practices.
